Faclan air Leth
Faclan air Leth is a Twitter-based project where interesting, unusual or uncommon words are uploaded by Comunn members as they come across them. Each word entry will include a definition and an example and will be sent out to suscribers from around the world helping them to broaden their Gaelic vocabulary. Examples are to be uploaded using the form below.
As the entry will be posted to a Twitter feed, it should not exceed 140 characters. It should have the following structure:
- the word or phrase.
- gender or additional grammatical information.
- meaning in English.
- A witty, interesting or strange example phrase or sentence.
A sample entry:
sìnteag, ainm. boir. Skip, bound, hop. Gheàrr e sìnteag bheag a-staigh dhan a' Phàirc Bar.
